Idaho National Laboratory collaborates with university partners, champions military workforce programs, supports state engagements, and participates in regional and local STEM outreach, including educational camps, training, and workshops. The IDEAL team plays a key role in outreach and recruitment efforts, focusing on expanding the talent pool and National and Homeland Security research programs. By engaging with universities—including historically Black colleges and universities, minority-serving institutions, diversity and inclusion-focused professional societies, conferences, and alumni networks—the IDEAL team aims to increase and enhance engagement among underrepresented minorities.
INL works with students, faculty and universities to provide internships, fellowships, joint appointments, capstone projects, research collaborations and workshops, and curriculum resources that contribute INL’s National and Homeland Security research.
Idaho National Laboratory is hosting STEM Scholars, CyberCore and Clean Energy summer camp programs. These three programs are free, and learning materials are provided. Snacks will be provided and students should bring their own lunch.
Cyber Competency Health and Maturity Progression (Cyber-CHAMP) is a workforce assessment and evaluation process. Developed to help organizations and individuals enhance and or begin their cyber workforce development journey.
