Community Grants
Idaho National Laboratory, on behalf of corporate funding provided by Battelle Energy Alliance, supports recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofits and educational programs that align with our mission and benefit our community, employees and their families. We believe a vibrant community is essential for our mission and workforce, so we focus on initiatives that enhance STEM education, economic development, environmental sustainability, and civic and cultural engagement. Funding includes corporate donations and employee contributions through the United Way campaign, Idaho Gives and similar initiatives such as grants.
What We Support
- Organizations in Idaho receive priority, particularly requests leveraged with other community efforts or funds.
- Investments that are larger in size and fewer in number, to organizations that provide tangible, lasting benefits to the region.
- Nonprofits that align with our core values – Excellence, Inclusivity, Integrity, Ownership, Teamwork, Safety
What We Don't Support
- Grants or sponsorships to individuals
- Sports teams/clubs, their support organizations or fundraising activities
- Fundraising events such as galas and golf tournaments
- Groups with political or religious affiliations
To Apply
All grant requests must be submitted online by a recognized 501(c)(3) organization using the Grant Application. Please be prepared to provide:
- Your organization’s IRS 501(c)(3) form
- Brief narrative describing your project or program that includes key partners
- List of matching contributions
- Bids from vendor
