Idaho National Laboratory welcomes new inclusion and diversity lead
IDAHO FALLS — Idaho National Laboratory welcomes Toni L. Carter as the lead for inclusion and diversity. Carter will oversee efforts to augment an inclusive work culture for the entire laboratory.
“We are excited Toni has chosen to join the INL family” said Mark Holubar, Human Resources & Diversity director. “She’s an accomplished and collaborative inclusion leader with a wealth of knowledge in managing inclusion and diversity (I/D) priorities. Her passion and extensive experience will provide I/D thought leadership to all strategic partners, while making significant contributions to our inclusion programs across the laboratory.”
Carter is a certified inclusion practitioner through Diversity Training University International and comes to INL with a legacy of inclusive leadership accomplishments. She’s committed to equality, inclusion and creating access to opportunities for everyone. For 23 years, she worked for Motorola Solutions in Chicago – where she is known for evolving their efforts into a results-driven business imperative.
“I’m honored to be a part of Idaho National Laboratory,” said Carter. “My intent is to partner across the entire system, to help foster an environment that empowers and engages others to achieve a competitive advantage.” She hopes to further leverage talent platforms to enhance employee capabilities, build next-generation leaders, and drive bottom-line results.
In 2015, the National Diversity Council honored Carter with the Leadership Excellence Award for corporate inclusion, and she was named Inclusion and Diversity Champion of the Year by Diversity MBA. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Roosevelt University in Chicago.
