IDAHO FALLS — Battelle Energy Alliance (BEA), operator of Idaho National Laboratory, will accept requests for charitable donations through Oct. 15, 2019.
The INL Community Giving program provides BEA corporate-funded donations in select areas, such as human services, health, environment, arts and civic projects.
“INL is Idaho’s national lab,” said Juan Alvarez, INL chief operations officer, “We are proud of the investments that we have made to support the stability and health of communities across the state.”
The electronic form for submitting 2020 community donation requests is available on INL’s website: https://inl.gov/inl-initiatives/community-outreach/.
“Our Community Giving program provides funding to nonprofit agencies in Idaho communities, where INL employees live, work and play,” said Misty Benjamin, INL Community Relations program manager. “Our mission is to support organizations providing for the basic needs of children and the underprivileged. In addition, we care about inclusion and diversity in Idaho and we are committed to programs in rural and underserved communities.”
INL is one of the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) national laboratories. The laboratory performs work in each of DOE’s strategic goal areas: energy, national security, science and environment. INL is the nation’s leading center for nuclear energy research and development. Day-to-day management and operation of the laboratory is the responsibility of Battelle Energy Alliance.
