JASON STOLWORTHY, J.D.
Jason Stolworthy is Idaho National Laboratory’s Director of Technology Deployment. Over his career, he has specialized all matters related to innovating, protecting, transferring and commercializing technologies developed from research in diverse environments at universities, private international organizations and national laboratories. Stolworthy is a registered patent attorney and holds bachelor’s degrees from Idaho State University in chemistry and biochemistry, a master’s degree from University of Idaho in chemical engineering and a Juris Doctor degree from University of Idaho College of Law.
Ryan Bills is the senior commercialization manager of Idaho National Laboratory’s Technology Deployment Team supporting the Energy & Environment Science and Technology Directorate. He manages the EES&T intellectual property portfolio, which includes technologies ranging from radiation decontamination and water treatment processes to battery materials and renewable energy technologies. He is responsible for working with inventors to determine commercial viability of new EES&T discoveries and for licensing the patents and copyrights that result. He also manages relationships with existing licensing partners and supports EES&T staff in developing proposals to use licensing royalty funds for technology maturation. Before joining INL, he spent more than 12 years in the semiconductor industry in various capacities, including process engineering, supplier quality, supply chain contracting, and capital equipment procurement. He is a Certified Licensing Professional, holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Idaho and an MBA from Idaho State University.
Jon Cook is a Senior Commercialization Manager within the Technology Deployment Department at Idaho National Laboratory. He is the lead commercialization manager for the National & Homeland Security (N&HS) research directorate. He executes marketing and licensing efforts and manages the N&HS intellectual property portfolio. Before joining INL, he worked for five years at the University of Wisconsin System technology transfer office as a licensing executive and program manager for University of Wisconsin System Applied Research Grant Program. He holds a bachelor’s degree in life science communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a Licensing Executives Society (LES) Certified Licensing Professional (CLP).
Kala Majeti, Ph.D., is senior commercialization manager for the Nuclear Science & Technology directorate where she is responsible for evaluating and protecting intellectual property, advancing commercial readiness and licensing of nuclear technologies and analysis software as well as managing external corporate and institutional relationships. Prior to coming to INL, she was at the Technology Transfer Office at The University of Colorado-Boulder, where she was responsible for licensing and commercialization of research innovations in various engineering disciplines such as electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, optical physics, aerospace and materials engineering. She has a Ph.D. from Oakland University in systems engineering and a B.S. and M.S. in electrical and computer engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She holds three U.S. patents on the Design of a MEMS Strain Gauge and has co-founded four technology startups.
Over the past 25 years, Jim Keating has worked in the pharmaceutical, manufacturing, oil & gas, and software industries for small and large companies spanning multiple continents. He spent eight years as a venture capitalist specializing in technology startups, and then transitioned to large research organizations, including Qatar Foundation and most recently, INL. At INL, he has been instrumental in launching the Trailhead East @ INL business accelerator, managing INL’s Technical Assistance Program, serving as a national instructor for DOE Energy I-Corps, creating and teaching INL’s internal I-Corps Lite program, and connecting INL researchers with regional investors and industry partners. Jim has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology from Valparaiso University, a Master of Engineering in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, and an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is also a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP).
June Cook is Idaho National Laboratory’s Intellectual Property Licensing specialist. She manages the licensing processes for technology transfer including license agreements, income sharing agreements, open source software licenses, and copyright assertions. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Idaho State University in business management.
Morgan Goody serves as Idaho National Laboratory’s Technology Transfer and Licensing specialist. In this role, she is responsible for managing correspondence related to obtaining access to INL’s modeling and simulation software. She holds a bachelor’s degree in science from Idaho State University.
Andrew Rankin is Idaho National Laboratory’s Intellectual Asset Marketing Specialist. He specializes in connecting industry, academia, and other professionals to INL’s Technology Deployment staff for licensing and partnering activities. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Utah Valley University and an MBA from Idaho State University.
Wendy Skinner is the Senior Business Applications analyst for Idaho National Laboratory Technology Deployment department. She is responsible for all data reporting, data analytics, IT systems, and Technology Deployment compliance activity. Her career at the laboratory has involved many aspects of IT including database design and web development. She has a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Brigham Young University.
Paige Price is Idaho National Laboratory’s Technology Transfer and Intellectual Asset Management Specialist. In this role, she conducts assessments of new technologies and capabilities, identifies related prior art, and assists with innovation and commercialization initiatives. Paige has a bachelor’s degree in applied physics from Brigham Young University.
