A series of free webinars will showcase 12 innovative cybersecurity technologies available for commercial licensing from 10 U.S. Department of Energy national laboratories. The public can participate in these events starting Feb. 14. For more information on each event, or to register to attend, click here.

The Operational Technology Cybersecurity Virtual Showcase webinar is hosted by Cyber Capital Partners, a Washington, D.C.-based venture advisory firm focused on cybersecurity technology development and commercialization, in partnership with DOE’s Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security and Emergency Response (CESER), through the Technology Commercialization Fund (TCF).

CESER has made significant investments in research and development of tools, technologies, and techniques that advance cybersecurity for industrial control systems, many of which can be meaningful to addressing U.S. cybersecurity challenges,” said Jason Gayl, managing partner of Cyber Capital Partners. “By raising awareness of the most impactful of these research programs and providing additional resources to bring in partners or other network arrangements, the DOE Practices to Accelerate the Commercialization of Technologies program (PACT) helps the United States improve its operational technology resilience.”

PACT promotes the transition of research developed at the DOE’s national laboratories toward the marketplace to promote U.S. competitiveness and national security.

National laboratories represented during the event include Argonne National Laboratory, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Idaho National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories.

Researchers from each of the represented labs will demonstrate the capabilities and impacts of their respective technologies, which were competitively selected from each of the national laboratory technology portfolios that address a variety of known challenges in the operational technology market. Technologies will address digital twinning, environment and user behavior emulation, threat analysis and anomaly detection, cyber-physical state estimation, and more.

“The webinars provide an opportunity for participating labs to demonstrate their respective technologies and join the discussion about challenges facing the current cybersecurity market,” said Jonathan Cook, INL’s senior commercialization manager.

The webinar series will kick off with an overview of the industrial cybersecurity market challenges, as well as DOE’s PACT program. Webinars that highlight the technologies will occur on Feb. 16, 21 and 23.
