INL Research Scholars: SparkLab
Where Curiosity Ignites Research Excellence
About SparkLab
Idaho National Laboratory’s premier high school scientific research experience.
This rigorous science research program is designed for exceptional high school juniors and seniors who have a passion for science and discovery. Over three months, students work alongside INL scientists and engineers on authentic research projects aligned with INL’s mission areas.
Through hands-on problem-solving and guided research, high school juniors and seniors develop real-world scientific skills in a student-centered, mentor-supported environment.
They will present their findings during a culminating research showcase open to the public where projects will be judged by INL experts.
To accommodate the high level of interest, we are introducing a virtual mentor session option, with required in-person session dates for orientation, tours, and the final showcase.
Take your senior project to the next level with this research apprenticeship!
