For 75 years, Idaho National Laboratory has played an important role in the nation’s energy evolution. Originally dedicated to safe production of nuclear energy – still the nation’s largest source of carbon-free power – our research portfolio has expanded to include electric vehicles and batteries, high-performance materials, cybersecurity, grid resilience, and integrated energy systems. We work every day to transform the world’s energy future and secure our nation’s critical infrastructure. The lab is one of Idaho’s largest employers and supports science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education at all levels. Today we welcome a new generation of diverse, brilliant people to tackle the major challenges our world faces.
