DiversityMBA, a national leadership organization integrating diversity and inclusion with talent management, has named four INL leaders to their 2018 Top 100 Under 50 Executive and Emerging Leaders list. This recognition represents outstanding achievements in community, leadership and education. Each awardee must pass a rigorous screening process. They can only receive the award once in a lifetime and must have an advanced degree or certification.

DiversityMBA’s list includes both emerging and executive leaders, however all of INL’s awardees were recognized as executive leaders.

Congratulations to INL’s Top 100 Under 50 Executive Leader Award winners:

  • Rita Baranwal, Ph.D., Gateway for Accelerated Innovation in Nuclear (GAIN) director
  • Toni L. Carter, M.S., Inclusion and Diversity strategy director
  • Heather Chichester, Ph.D., Post-Irradiation Examination Division director
  • Paul Lopez, M.S., Security Systems division director

“This is an outstanding honor for our laboratory,” said Mark Holubar, INL’s Human Resources & Diversity director. “Congratulations to the award recipients and thank you for your commitment to inclusive diversity. Recognition of our employees increases our global visibility and helps us build on our reputation as an employer of choice who empowers, supports and employs inclusively diverse talent.”

Awardees were invited to attend the DiversityMBA 12th Annual National Elite Business Leaders Conference and Awards Gala in Chicago, Illinois. At the conference, Toni Carter, INL’s Inclusion & Diversity strategy director and DiversityMBA awardee, moderated a panel session on “Insights on Leadership” where panelists discussed how to bridge gaps that exist between business and inclusion and diversity. Speakers on the panel included Natasha Miller Williams, Talent Engagement & Development vice president at Nielsen; Paul Lopez, Security Systems division director at INL; and Elizabeth Smith, Business Executive Operations senior vice president at Bank of America.
