The 2-day hybrid in-person/virtual workshop of the Advanced Materials & Manufacturing Technologies (AMMT) program will bring together subject matter experts from national laboratories, industry, and standards and regulatory bodies. The AMMT mission to accelerate the development, qualification, and deployment of advanced materials and manufacturing technologies in support of U.S. leadership in a broad range of nuclear energy applications. This year’s workshop will highlight the updated roadmap for advanced materials and manufacturing technologies to expand reliable and economical nuclear energy. It will also highlight the progress toward developing advanced material and manufacturing technologies, evaluating material performance in nuclear environments, establishing a rapid qualification framework, and accelerating commercialization through technology demonstration. Objectives include presenting the latest research and development activities of the program, gathering industry feedback on the roadmap, and pursuing AMMT-industry collaboration opportunities.
The workshop will include tours of the Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) and other Idaho National Laboratory facilities.
