Original Release

Idaho National Laboratory bus shuttles with service to the Materials and Fuels Complex are suspended today, Feb. 22.

Idaho National Laboratory is rerouting buses through U.S. Highway 26 to support operations today, Feb. 22,  due to severe weather and poor road conditions. All other operations at INL, Idaho Environmental Coalition and the U.S. Department of Energy are operating normally at the Site and town facilities. INL advises all employees in personal vehicles to avoid U.S. Highway 20 from Idaho Falls to the junction with U.S. Highway 26 (commonly known as the “Puzzle”) as the Idaho Transportation Department is working to clear snow drifts. Those traveling from the junction to the Materials and Fuels Complex may anticipate normal winter driving conditions. Site employees are advised to travel on U.S Highways 26 and 33 to reach Site locations.

INL employees traveling to the Site should practice extreme caution on U.S. Highway 33, due to low visibility in some areas. All employees traveling to work on Wednesday are encouraged to drive slowly, plan for extra time, ride the bus and avoid personal vehicle travel where possible.
